About Coco Barclay:
Not many people will have taken the same route into handbag and accessory design as Coco Barclay. Her training was in fashion and then millinery design and her first job was working in a hat factory where she was employed to convert “rejects” into one-off designs. Taking the unsaleable and making them the most exclusive and expensive products in the range.
She spent many years designing for her own label and in 1991 set up in partnership with Tak Peppas. Together they designed and launched their first interior design product. The giant wall organizer has become a classic, signature product and remains in the range today.
Coco’s real passion is accessories and four years ago she launched her first collection of handbags and jewellery. She works in the highest quality, ethically sourced materials and her designs are fun, stylish but always practical too. Her jewellery designs effortlessly combine simple, natural materials and craft skill with ultra modern production methods to stunning effect.
Coco has drawn together a group of skilled, UK-based craftspeople who produce her designs. People who do what they do because they love it - and it shows.
