Caped Crusader

Wednesday, December 08, 2010

Christmas night out? Don't ruin the perfect party dress with your old parka, go for this season's slow burning hit, the cape! Both dressy and cosy, the cape is having a moment in these chilly December days!

First seen all over the AW10/11 catwalks the cape provides a great throw-on instant update for any outfit and looks equally glam with jeans and heels or as the perfect party cover up.

The Think Boutique Tara Starlet Cosy Cape £95 is a winner here at {Think} HQ especially with the recent plummeting temperatures, made from 100% wool with sweet velveteen collar and satin ribbon details it's keeping us looking glam in the cold! With its timeless vintage style the Cosy Cape is ethically produced in London keeping its carbon footprint low. Wear with cosy mohair accessories for extra warmth!

Winter Chill!

Monday, November 08, 2010

As the temperature drops here at Think Boutique we are wrapping up to face the elements in style!

New in Miksani knitwear has arrived just in time to fight the winter blues and we are especially loving the jumper dresses for a warm but stylish look. The matching legwarmers provide that extra layer of cosy mohair too, great over leggings or tights!

Miksani Grey Panel Jumperdress £70

Miksani Black Legwarmers £30

Miksani knitwear is handknitted in Nepal by World Fair Trade Certified producers using finest 100% mohair - cosy and kind!

We are also loving the Lowie accessories range for the toasty and gorgeous look! Especially the Cosy Cream Snood in 100% soft virgin wool the Snood is hand-knitted in China where Lowie strive to help local workers maintain their traditional skill sets and lifestyles by ensuring they can work from home. This stops workers having to move from their villages into larger towns for work and boosts the local economy.

Lowie Cosy Cream Snood £80

Equally gorgeous and equally cosy from Lowie is the Nordic Range with stunning fairisle designs knitted in the softest 100% Merino wool again knitted in China by fair-paid workers. Our personal favourite is the cute earmuffs, matching scarf and mittens.

Lowie Cream Nordic Earmuffs £35

Lowie Nordic Cream Mittens £43

Lowie Nordic Cream Scarf £65

So there is no reason to stay indoors this Winter! Wrap up warm and look glam!

The {Think} LBD!

Monday, October 18, 2010

Its essential that every woman's wardrobe has a little black dress. Since its introduction by Coco Chanel in the 1920s its been the go-to item for all occasions and the chicest way to get dressed in throw-it-on and ready style! Vogue described it as a "....uniform for all women of taste".

Audrey Hepburn's iconic LBD look.

The LBD lives on featuring on the AW 10/11 catwalk.

The {Think} LBD takes the form of this gorgeous pleat pencil dress, nicknamed the Audrey dress here at {Think} HQ as we can imagine the first lady of LBDs slipping quite comfortably into this black organic merino wool number! The fabric is soft and light to touch but warm to wear making this a winter wardrobe essential for this winter and many to come!

Enjoy!

Our take on the key trend!

Thursday, September 23, 2010

The stand out piece for Autumn Winter 2010/11 has been the camel coat. In many different guises it has been seen strutting down many of the top name catwalks.

So when buying the A/W stock for Think Boutique I just knew it had to include a Camel Coat. That's why I so pleased when having my meeting with Antiform that I could pick some stunning camel fabric and create a Think Boutique version of this must-have piece.

Using fine wool fabrics that are considered end of line and otherwise destined for landfill Antiform created this stunning coat. Even the leather detail in the buckles is reclaimed from unwanted leather swatches. The final result is an original and interesting but infinitely wearable piece that will make you look and feel good!
